Blackboard Collaborate Ultra Training for A&S Faculty - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Maryann, it’s hard to hear you.
Much better visibility! Thank you!
if we are lecturing live, should we also record? for example...normally lectures are NOT recorded.
I plan to record at least initially. Once we all get used to this including the students, we can reconsider.
Does Ultra feature live video feeds of participants, like Zoom does?
Yes, you have to turn it on
Start video in lower lefthand corner
There are people with audio on! Please turn it off
Can you preset groups and have the same group in every session? Or do you have to set groups each time?
Can’t hear anything!
I see and hear you all but my screen also says I am the only one in the room -?
I can show tabs via screen share, yes, I tried last night. But other tabs also show then.
You can add students to your courses using “Users and Groups”
Maryann, Do you think that for a general videoconference class, it would be better to use Zoom, or Collaborate Ultra, or Zoom in blackboard? I teach Acting, which is a Studio Theater class, where students have to present performance work.
That student tab will be incredibly helpful. Please let us know when it becomes available.
if a student needs to call and to ask IT a live question if they cannot set it up or use, will you have a phone number we can give them in addition to the posted files under the tab?
